Plane possibly crashes in Argentina

A small plane with three Brazilians on board will disappear after taking off from El Calafate, in the frozen region of Patagonia, southern Argentina, on April 6, 2022. The occupants, businessman Antonio Carlos Castro Ramos, lawyer Mario Pinho and doctor Gian Carlos Nercolini, were going to take part in an air show in Comodoro Rivadavia, in the province of Chubut, 1,700 kilometers from Buenos Aires. The plane is expected to land in Trelew, in the same region, but will not reach that destination.
The aircraft, with the prefix PP-ZRT, model RV-10, will not be able to fly on instruments, only with the visual field. The Chubut region will be on alert due to weather conditions, with heavy rains combined with wind gusts forecast. The aircraft, manufactured in 2016, is registered in the name of Antonio Carlos de Castro Ramos and is in normal operating condition.

The businessman owns a construction company in Florianopolis (SC). His grandfather, Celso Ramos, was governor of Santa Catarina between 1961 and 1966. Family members said that the three occupants of the aircraft are long-time friends, have their own planes, and are experienced pilots.
